I Asked Google's Bard AI…
In Which Ways Would Haiti Be Different If The United States Government Had Never Intervened In Its Politics?
Here’s how it answered:
It is impossible to say for certain how Haiti would be different if the United States government had never intervened in its politics. However, it is possible to speculate on some of the ways in which Haiti might have developed differently.
One possibility is that Haiti would have been able to develop its own unique political system, free from the influence of foreign powers. Haiti was the first independent black republic in the world, and it is possible that it could have developed into a strong and stable democracy if it had not been subjected to repeated interventions by the United States.
Another possibility is that Haiti would have been able to develop its own economic system, free from the exploitation of foreign powers. Haiti is a very poor country, and its economy has been severely hampered by the United States' interventions. If the United States had not intervened, Haiti might have been able to develop its own economic system and become a more prosperous country.
Finally, it is also possible that Haiti would have been able to develop its own culture, free from the influence of foreign powers. Haiti has a rich and unique culture, but it has been suppressed by the United States' interventions. If the United States had not intervened, Haiti might have been able to develop its own culture and become a more vibrant and diverse country.
Of course, it is also possible that Haiti would not have been any different if the United States had never intervened. It is impossible to say for certain what would have happened. However, it is clear that the United States' interventions in Haiti have had a negative impact on the country. If the United States had not intervened, Haiti might have been able to develop into a strong, prosperous, and democratic country.
My thoughts…
This artificial intelligence should be a reality for anyone thinking the U.S. intervention will #freeHaiti from its problems. We have been there, done that and felt the disastrous results many times over. National problems require native solutions. The #BwaKale reactionary movement isn’t the answer either, but it’s a start. I will only make a lasting impact if the people organize, as well or better than the gangs they’re fighting. The invasive root of corruption must be weeded out. Those funding the gangs must be exposed. Their names and faces, and addresses should be made public. They should have no peace in Haiti or abroad. People have mobilized to engage the protocols of cancel culture for lesser evils. My question to Bard isn’t an accusation that the U.S. is at fault for all that ails Haiti. The U.S and other opportunistic nations and entities only have access to Haiti’s politics, economy and resources when Haitians in positions of power acquiesce. The cancer of corruption is what’s killing Haitians every day.
